SEWING CLASS FOR MIGRANT & REFUGEES WOMEN.
6 MONTHS COURSE
We run two sewing course in Ethnic Hub, at 190 Stoddard Road, Mt Roskill, Our sewing courses provide a way for women to fill their free time doing useful things and growing their creativity, energy and sense of implementation in the life.
The first of our sewing course is the Sewing Circle. This course is for those with no experience who want to learn to sew on a domestic sewing machine and make connections with other ethnic women from similar backgrounds. The sewing circle is a learn at your own pace course which is open to sewers of all different levels. The sewing school is free programme we run during the school terms. There are two courses women are able to enroll in. The beginners sewing course and the advanced sewing course. Each course is six months long. The Sewing School teaches women to sew on industrial machines so they are able to use course as a stepping stone to embark on other training and allows for opportunities to gain employment in clothing operations sector, we makesure our students learn to sew from our Experts. Learning to sew is a skill that lasts a lifetime, our students attend five days a week during term time, MONDAY - WEDNESDAY ( 2HRS EACH) BEGGINERS :- 9:30am - 11:00am.
